Reason to Celebrate All Things Merton

Hello All,

     Reflecting back upon the first two shortened weeks of learning here at Merton school, it's hard to miss the many positive changes taking place.  Teacher Advisory Group (TAG) is already fostering relationships between 7th and 8th grade students.  That started on the first day (Day 3 oddly enough) in my TAG.  Two 8th grade girls helping 7th grade students figure out their new schedules, without even being told to do so!  Students are also beginning to take ownership in their own learning because of the open-ended choices that teachers are providing.  Our school is buzzing with the excitement that a new school year brings.  Apprehension and nervous stomachs many times bring out the best in all of us:)  Please feel free to post your thoughts or stories from the beginning of this school year, wherever you may happen to be!
